My most favorite cookie of all time is one that you can easily whip up and add candy to!

Insert these beautiful Valentine’s Day Heart Blossom Cookies! They’re an easy sugar cookie recipe rolled into Valentine’s Day sugar sprinkles!

I used Fuschia Sanding Sugar Sprinkles from Amazon.

The Pink & Red Sugar Sprinkles were also from Amazon but came with other sprinkles too that I used for multiple Valentine’s Day Recipes!

The chocolate candy hearts for the easy sugar cookies and the Valentine’s Day decor was brought to you by the Dollar Tree!

I got a variety of chocolate hearts, like fudge filled and crackle but the best ones with this were the peanut butter filled heart chocolates for sure!

Side note, make sure when you place the chocolate heart into the Valentine’s Day sugar cookies, that they’re not directly out of the oven but also still warm so you can push it on into the sugar cookie.

I’ve been loving these Glass bowls from Amazon because they come with lids too so when I need to chill the dough, I can just pop the lid on!

I also used this 9 Speed Hand Mixer from Amazon!

It’s my new fave because it’s digital and has this like 400 W turbo power! It’s 40% off at the time of this blog post with an extra 5% off coupon!

I got the teal mixer for my mother in law but I see they have a pink one too I must get when we move!

I also used this Cookie Scooper from Amazon so they’re easier to make even and form into balls.

Ok let’s get to baking some cookies!
Ingredients:
- 1 cup unsalted butter
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/3 cup brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- Pink food coloring (optional)
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 2 1/2 cups flour
- 1/2 tsp each of baking powder, baking soda and salt
- Sugar Sprinkles
- Heart Chocolates
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 350°F
- Mix together the dry ingredients (flour, baking soda, baking powder, salt) and set aside
- Cream the butter, sugar and brown sugar together for a few minutes using a mixer
- Add the eggs, vanilla extract and pink food coloring to desired hue and mix
- Add half of the dry ingredients mixture and mix, then the rest and mix. I usually switch to a spoon or spatula for the last half to make sure it all gets incorporated but also keeps the cookie texture lighter by not building up too much gluten
- Pop in the fridge for a few minutes while you pour the Sugar sprinkles into small bowls
- Scoop out dough and form into balls, then roll into sprinkles and place on a baking sheet with space in between for the cookies to spread
- Bake 12-14 minutes and then let cool for a few minutes before adding the chocolates
- Let cool (unless you like ooey gooey messy chocolate in the middle of your cookies and are impatient) and then enjoy!

Just look at how beautiful these Valentine’s Day sugar cookies are with the heart shaped chocolates!

I liked using the food coloring and multiple colors of the sanding sugar sprinkles but the possibilities are endless!
