Christmas Light Cupcakes | Chocolate Amaretti Cupcakes for Christmas

Christmas light cupcakes are the perfect Christmas dessert to light up your Christmas dessert table with holiday! My white Pre lit Christmas Tree is from Amazon and is only $20 at the time of writing this blog post. The rest of the products in this post are also from Amazon.

I tried other people’s recipes for these chocolate amaretto cupcakes. And let me just specify that I did add the wrong measurements for the icing because I wasn’t paying attention and full of too much Christmas joy to focus, so the recipe is amazing, if you follow it exactly. This Wax warmer is how Santa is coming to bring presents this Christmas.

I love my pink kitchen so far! There are so many more pink kitchen utensils I need but so far these pink measuring cups and Whisk are vibes. The whisk really is a beast, the handle is super comfortable too. The metal bowls are part of a set which is perfect for measuring all of your ingredients ahead of time so it’s easier to throw together when you begin mixing.

My secret ingredient is this Amaretti di Saronno. It is absolutely amazing, super strong complex flavor in such a little bottle. I’ve been putting it in everything! I put a little with the vanilla extract in the Chocolate Cupcake Recipe I used from Life, Love and Sugar.

I also highly recommend using a kitchen scale for your dry ingredients cuz science.

The Colorful cupcake liners are from Amazon and kind of look like Christmas lights. I had them leftover from the summer and they worked perfectly for this Christmas cupcake recipe. The candy swirl measuring cups are from Michael’s.

I used my Stand mixer to make the icing and added this amazing amaretti to the icing recipe with the vanilla extract too. Like a half and half. I used Sally’s Baking Addiction Whipped Cream Frosting for my Christmas cupcakes. I was originally planning on making a bigger batch so I got confused and didn’t double check the recipe before adding the heavy cream so I added a 1/2 cup too much which is why they fell a little bit but oh my god y’all, her recipe is amazing! I’m so excited to make it the correct way now because it truly was incredible, especially with the amaretti. 10/10! It’s so light and not so sweet frosting like a Swiss meringue but without all the work!

The piping tip came from a set with the piping bags too.

I actually used Walmart great value black frosting for the Christmas light string because I don’t have the patience to make my own black icing. It’s a mess to make and I can never seem to get it the hue I want, so that’s a little secret cheat I used for my Christmas light cupcake decorating idea.

Of course the M&M Candy is from any local store near you. But I also get these on Amazon because sometimes it’s hard to find non Christmas themed M&Ms during the holiday season.

You’ll have to let me know if you end up making these Christmas light cupcakes because I just love seeing your creations on social media. Be sure to tag me!

And check out my video too for more fun! I hope you have a super holly and jolly merry Christmas and happy holidays! Ok love you bye!
