How to Make Christmas Trees Rice Krispies Treats

Rice Krispies Treats, or Crispy Rice Cereal Treats, because let’s be honest I’m using Walmart’s generic cereal in this economy, are always a crowd favorite!

This is my first time making these but they were such a fun activity instead of gingerbread houses because those don’t even taste good usually!

The cereal treats are just your regular recipe of 1/2 stick of butter melted in a large pot, then 10oz bag of mini marshmallows melted, 1/2 tsp vanilla extract and some green food coloring to the hue you want. Just remember you’re going to add 6 cups of crispy rice cereal to make the treats!

I used a parchment lined baking sheet to make them thinner and easier to remove and cut after they set. I just cut them into triangles and ate the scraps because a chef deserves a treat! You could certainly use a Christmas tree cookie cutter too!

I used chocolate covered pretzel sticks for the trunks and so I could hold them like popsicles instead of just laying them flat. This is obviously optional and there’s gotta be an easier way to adhere them but this worked great for me and who doesn’t love extra chocolate?!

I used these Christmas Sprinkles from amazon for the stars on top of the Christmas trees!

I used these Rainbow Candy Coated Chocolate Chips for the lights on the Christmas Trees.

You can certainly use M&Ms for the lights and use a yellow M&M for the stars!

I used Walmart’s great value white melting chocolate for the light strand/garland whatever the heck cute Christmas tree decor!

I also got this cute Plus Size Christmas Shirt from amazon…it runs small so order a size up!

It’s my new fave Christmas shirt!

Ok love you bye
