Easy Halloween Sugar Cookies w/ Chocolate Drizzle & Sprinkles

Oooooo baby! I love a sugar cookie this time of year but I hate all the work that goes into making the kind you roll out and shape and making royal icing and yada yada.

These are so super easy, you just whip up the batter and scoop it onto a cookie sheet and then after they cool from baking, melt a little chocolate in the microwave, add a drizzle and a sprinkle and voila! This recipe doesn’t make a ton but perfect for a little family weeknight Halloween!

Also, I’m obsessed with these Fight Night Halloween Sprinkles from amazon! I used them in my Halloween Hot Cocoa Bombs Recipe

And my Spooky Puppy Chow Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups flour
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 1 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1 stick unsalted butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1 cup chocolate chips
  • 1 tbsp heavy cream
  • Halloween Sprinkles

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F
  2. Whisk together the flour, salt and baking powder, then set aside
  3. In a stand mixer (or a hand held mixer is good too), beat your butter
  4. Then add sugar and beat, then add egg and beat, then add vanilla and beat
  5. Slowly add dry mixture until just incorporated and continue mixing with a spatula if need be
  6. Scoop onto a parchment lined cookie sheet and bake for 10 minutes
  7. Cool and then melt your chocolate and cream in the microwave in 15 sec intervals until melted, stirring in between
  8. Put into a piping bag or a ziploc bag and snip a small part of the corner to drizzle your chocolate over the cookies after they’re cooled (you can certainly just use a spoon to drizzle too or dip half of each cookie or really anything your heart desires)
  9. Add sprinkles before chocolate dries
  10. Enjoy!
