Red Pepper Crescent Roll Hearts | Easy Valentine’s Day Snack

I love a super easy snack idea that’s effective in getting the holiday feelers! These red pepper crescent roll hearts are the perfect throw together last minute Valentine’s Day snack for you and your partner! (Or just you because they’re THAT delicious, I could eat them all myself!)

I just used the classic pillsbury crescent roll tube, but I got the sheet, not the one cut into triangles for crescent rolls. If that’s the only one you can find, just pinch the seams together. I was also thinking store bought puff pastry might be nice too! The cooking time would be a little different though, I’m sure.

You can use whatever cream cheese floats your boat, but the chive and onion cream cheese worked perfectly for these Valentine’s Day heart snacks. The garden vegetable one would be good too, or just plain. Either way, make sure it’s soften some so you can mix the roasted red peppers in easier.

You could also use pimentos or fresh red peppers too. I just like the red cuz Valentine’s Day, hearts, you get it. I did 1/2 container cream cheese (about 3.5-4oz) and 1/2 cup chopped roasted red peppers. I drained them on a paper towel though to release some of the juiciness.

The white ramekins are from Amazon, as are the other products linked in this blog post.

Then you just spread the cream cheese & roasted red pepper mix on your crescent roll dough.

Side note, look at how gorgeous this new pink dutch oven is! I can’t wait to make some sourdough and soups and chilis and all the things! If you have any recs of Dutch oven recipes, leave them in the comments, I’d love to try them!

Then you just roll your crescent roll up like a scroll but starting on both short edges and rolling into the center.

I do all of this on my pink cutting board so that I can easily pick up the crescent roll dough and place in the freezer for 10-15 minutes so it is easier to cut. And then, since it’s already on the cutting board, you’re ready to cut your heart shapes.

I cut my Valentine’s Day crescent roll snacks into 8 equal pieces but you could probably even get 10 if you make them a bit thinner. Just make sure you’re using a sharp knife! The brand of knife isn’t as important as the knife sharpener is! I’ve seen a lot of y’all using these dull knives and you can get an inexpensive, user friendly knife sharpener from Amazon. This is the one I use.

It’s so easy to use and even comes with a safety glove, which, to be honest I don’t use. But having a sharp knife is not only imperative for these Valentine’s Day heart shaped snacks so you don’t squish them as you cut them, but it’s so important for safety. Dull knives are so much more dangerous because they require more force to cut and make them more likely to slip. Please sharpen your knives!

Then you just sort of pinch the bottom of each filled crescent piece to make a heart shape!

Also, the red nail polish, Plum nail polish and Top coat in these pictures are just Sally Hansen from Amazon. I swear by Sally, she stays on so much longer than other inexpensive polishes! I especially like the insta dri and non uv light gel line.

Then you just bake this beautiful crescent roll hearts in a preheated 375°F oven for about 15-20 mins, or until golden brown.

We actually had these for a football snack the other day and they hit the spot! My husband was impressed by how simple and cute this Valentine’s Day snack ended up being!

There are so many different types of fillings you could come up with for these crescent roll hearts that would still be effective because look at the cute hearts!

I didn’t have Valentine’s Day plates yet but these pink snowflake plates are the perfect vibe for the winter cold between Christmas and Valentine’s Day!

Let me know if you end up making these heart shaped Valentine’s Day snacks! I love to see your creations on social media!

I also have more Valentine’s Day snacks and sweets on this blog page and on my youtubular.

These Strawberry cheese danish hearts are also super easy to throw together for the Valentine’s Day holiday.

If you’re looking for an easy Valentine’s Day dinner, these Elote quesadillas are made into heart shapes for a fun night so you have more time for the fun stuff. Wink wink.
