There’s a chocolate black bean cake going viral on TikTok and I’m here to tell you, they ain’t lyin! It is incredible and doesn’t taste like beans at all but gives you extra protein and fiber! It’s also super easy to whip up which makes it an official 10/10 will make again and again chocolate cake! Oh yeah, and it just so happens to be gluten free too, which is cool!

You need a high powered blender, a Ninja from Amazon is my recommendation. It’s like a vitamix but a fraction of the cost! If you don’t have prime yet, you can get a 30 day free trial here.

Side note, this bourbon vanilla bean paste from Trader Joe’s is awesome, but you can use any other vanilla bean paste or vanilla extract.

Make sure to use parchment paper and Pamela cooking spray.

You can use any icing of your choosing but I tried this super quick and easy chocolate frosting to go with the chocolate black bean cake and I quite enjoyed it!

You can thicken it up if you want more of a pipeable version with extra powdered sugar (or less hot water) and/or pop it in the fridge for the butter to firm up a bit. Hot coffee in place of the water might be nice too, I’m going to try that next time!
