Elote Corn Dogs (Vegan)

Tomorrow is Cinco De Mayo. So. Why not?!

  • 1/2 cup vegan Mayo
  • 1/2 cup vegan sour cream
  • 1 lime (zest and juice)
  • 1/4 tsp each of salt, chipotle powder and garlic powder
  • A little cilantro if you’re interested in it
  • 1 cup cornmeal
  • 3/4 cup flour
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 tbsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp each of salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika
  • 1 and 1/4 cup oat milk
  • Vegan hot dogs
  • Vegan Parmesan and canned mexicorn to add on top


  1. Start preheating a pot or pan of oil on the stove and skewer your hot dogs
  2. In a small bowl, together the first 5 ingredients, cover and keep in the fridge until serving
  3. In a larger bowl, mix together the next 5 ingredients and then add the oat milk and mix
  4. Add the batter to a large cup and dip your hot dogs one at a time and place in the preheated oil to fry
  5. Garnish with the Elote sauce, extra cilantro, parm and corn
  6. Enjoy!
