Easy Halloween Recipe – Pumpkin Rice Krispies Treats

Crispy rice cereal treats are a huge favorite in the family. They always are the first to be gobbled up, even though they’re really simple and easy to make!

Just a piping bag and a dream! Or even just a ziploc bag will do ya!

Luckily pumpkins and jack-o-lanterns come in all shapes and sizes and we love them all the same! So decorate away and have some fun with it!

And of course we gotta add some extra Halloween candy on top because it’s holiday season baby!

Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cup unsalted butter
  • 10oz bag mini marshmallows
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 1/2 tsp orange food coloring
  • 6 cups crispy rice cereal
  • 1 cup Chocolate chips
  • Rolos or mini Reese’s cups for stems

Directions:

  1. In a large pot, melt butter on low
  2. Then add the mini marshmallows and stir frequently as they melt
  3. Add vanilla and food coloring to desired hue
  4. Remove from heat and add cereal and stir
  5. Use Pamela cooking spray or butter on your hands to form into pumpkins
  6. Once cooled, melt chocolate in the microwave in 30 second intervals and then let sit a few minutes and fill a piping bag or ziploc bag and snip a tiny bit off the end to decorate your pumpkins
  7. Use the rest of the chocolate to ‘glue’ on the rolos as stems
  8. Enjoy!
