5 Easy Crescent Roll Pinwheel Appetizer Recipe Ideas for a Party

The humble crescent roll tube, it scares us when we open it but it provides the most delicious snack and appetizers for a night in or a party out. You could also use puff pastry, pizza dough or a homemade dough of sorts. Pretty much anything works for these.

Jalapeño Popper Cresent Roll Pinwheel Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 crescent roll tubes
  • 8oz package cream cheese (softened)
  • 6-8 strips cooked bacon, chopped
  • 6-8 jalapeños, diced (I use fresh but you can certainly do jarred or canned if you prefer, just make sure you drain/dry them)
  • 8oz Sharp cheddar cheese

Directions:

1.    Preheat oven 375°F

2.    Mix all ingredients (except the crescent rolls) together

3.    Unroll crescent rolls and pinch the seams together, then spread the filling (1/2 on each roll)

4.    Roll up and cut into 8 equal pieces of each roll for a total of 16 pieces

5.    Bake 2 greased cookie sheets for about

15-20 minutes or until golden brown

Sweet Pepper Popper Crescent Roll Pinwheel Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 crescent roll tubes
  • 8oz package cream cheese (softened)
  • 6-8 strips cooked bacon, chopped
  • 6-8 sweet peppers, diced 
  • 8oz Sharp cheddar cheese
  • 1/4 cup capital city sweet hot mambo sauce

Directions:

1.    Preheat oven 375°F

2.    Mix all ingredients (except the crescent rolls) together

3.    Unroll crescent rolls and pinch the seams together, then spread the filling (1/2 on each roll)

4.    Roll up and cut into 8 equal pieces of each roll for a total of 16 pieces

5.    Bake 2 greased cookie sheets for about

15-20 minutes or until golden brown

Chicken Pesto Crescent Roll Pinwheels Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 crescent roll tubes
  • 8oz package cream cheese (softened)
  • 1 cup pesto (I made a quick homemade pistachio pesto but regular store bought pesto works great too!)
  • 8oz shredded mozzarella cheese 
  • 2 cups chicken (I chopped leftover chicken I had in small cubes but shredded rotisserie chicken would be super easy and delish too)

Directions:

1.    Preheat oven 375°F

2.    Mix all ingredients (except the crescent rolls) together

3.    Unroll crescent rolls and pinch the seams together, then spread the filling (1/2 on each roll)

4.    Roll up long ways and cut into 12 equal pieces of each roll for a total of 24 pieces

5.    Bake 2 greased cookie sheets for about

15-20 minutes or until golden brown

Pepperoni Pizza Crescent Rolls Appetizer Recipe

Ingredients:

  •   2 crescent roll tubes
  •   8oz package cream cheese (softened)
  •  2/3 cup red sauce (I made my own cut the kind in the jar would work just as well)
  •   80 pepperoni (or any other pizza topping, or none at all)
  •   8oz shredded mozzarella cheese

Directions:

  1.    Preheat oven 375°F
  2.    Mix all the cream cheese, sauce and cheese together
  3.    Unroll crescent rolls and pinch the seams together, then spread the filling (1/2 on each roll), and lay out the pepperonis
  4.    Roll up and cut into 8 equal pieces of each roll for a total of 16 pieces (you can also roll it up long ways and cut 12 equal pieces for a total of 24 for a larger yield)
  5.    Bake 2 greased cookie sheets for about

15-20 minutes or until golden brown

My all time favorite food is Maryland blue crab, so this last but most delicious (in my opinion) is a classic hot crab dip but in crescent roll dough for the perfect party snack, we love these for football game day too!

Crab Dip Crescent Roll Pinwheels Recipe

Ingredients:

  • 2 crescent roll tubes
  • 8oz package cream cheese (softened)
  • 1/2 cup mayo
  • 2 tbsp Dijon mustard 
  • 2 tsp old bay 
  • 1 cup chopped green onion
  • 8oz shredded cheddar cheese 
  • 1 pound Maryland blue crab meat 

Directions:

1.    Preheat oven 375°F

2.    Mix all ingredients (except the crescent rolls) together

3.    Unroll crescent rolls and pinch the seams together, then spread the filling (1/2 on each roll)

4.    Roll up long ways and cut into 12 equal pieces of each roll for a total of 24 pieces

5.    Bake 2 greased cookie sheets for about

20-25 minutes or until golden brown
