Carrot Bacon (Vegan)

I just had to try Tabitha Brown’s carrot bacon recipe!

Ingredients:

  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1/4 tsp each of pepper, garlic powder, onion powder and smoked paprika
  • 2 carrots

Directions:

  • Preheat oven to 350°F
  • Mix together all of the ingredients except the carrots
  • Peel the carrots into strips and put in the marinade
  • Let everything sit and marinade for 5mins to a half hour
  • Lay out carrot strips on a parchment lined cookie sheet and bake for 10 minutes, flipping halfway
  • These will crisp up after cooling
  • I turned mine into a BLT with spinach instead of lettuce
